What Your Doctor Should Know about Depression
Depression is the stand-out winner when it comes to picking the worse of all mental disorders. Why? Well partly because of the sheer number of people affected (experts estimate between 30-95%, dependent upon age group) and partly because depression can be fatal. And very much because it’s not just the sufferer who suffers. Depression has a deep and brutal impact on the whole family.
I’m sure you can see why depression would be considered so dangerous, but there’s something that makes it even more rotten, and that’s the very rapid increase in rates of depression world wide.
