So mom said you are no longer eligible for her and pops health insuarcne plan? Well now is the time to start thinking about your options. Don’t worry too much, if you are between careers or still working on making it happen you can probably qualify for individual health insurance.

Many major insurance companies offer health insurance on an individual basis. In fact, they have specially formulated plans to cater to your market group. So if you can not get group insurance, individual health insurance makes a perfect option.

There are many plans that are designed with your needs in mind. They know what you expect and what is important to your generation. Some good examples are the Unicare Sound and Blue Cross Tonik plans. These plans are specifically designed to appeal to the 20 something’s.

Twenty something’s do not like suprise bills. They want to know how much the are expected to pay when they go to the doctor. So many of these plans have a all inclusive co pay. The all inclusive aspect is that labs and x-rays are covered, so no suprise bill.

Young people are loving this feature! Most are on a fixed income or have student loans to manage and just can not afford 2 or 3 bills for a office visit. It is one worry they do not want added to their plates. A $30 co pay is much more manageable then a bill for $200.

The younger generation also expect for these plans to have all the added bonuses. So they really want a plan that includes dental and vision. They are designing these plans with just that and keeping the premiums affordable.

The 20 somethings do not like all the fine details either. So these plans are simple and straight forward. They have left off the popular co insurance component of health insurance plans. So once they meet their deductible the carriers pay 100%. So no more 80/20 or maximum out of pocket confusion here.

This lifestyle period of consumers use to go without insurance. But, they are very financial savvy now and know that is a bad option. Because of this carriers are designing wonderfully simple straight forward plans to meet the needs of these young adults.
