Though a lot of companies like direct applications, some prefer to get theirs from agencies because it reduces the need to screen and train employees before they can start working.
A part time job agency recruits a job seeker for a part time job available. A part time job agency is very helpful for students, graduates, potential employees who are just beginning to establish their careers, people who want to switch jobs, and others. Part time job agencies are sometimes also called temp agencies. They have a list of available positions along with a list of potential employees. One reason why applicants turn to part time job agency is because the agency quite knows about job openings that are not much known to the public.
It may be easier to apply directly for full-time positions, but not for part-time jobs. That is why if you are looking for a part-time job, the best place to look for is by checking out postings of temp job agencies.
On the other hand, there is also a downside with acquiring the services of a part time job agency. Some work they offer are temporary jobs only. If this is the case, it may be difficult for you to constantly change jobs and adjust to new working environments. It is better to indicate and be clear of what kind and the how long the duration of the part time job you want.
