Is the way you market your tanning salon effective? You need to offer more than just your address and phone number in the newspaper. Creative advertising can really help you to get the most out of your advertising dollars. You will need to go beyond letting people know you have a tanning salon. Let them know what your business features and why they should be coming in.
If you have a great deal of activity going on in your tanning salon you may feel like it is too difficult to get it all detailed in one message. That is very true so you will just need to take a new approach. Come up with some specific ads about various aspects of your tanning salon. You can use different ones in various types of advertising locations. You can change the ad in the newspaper weekly as well to keep attracting new customers who are looking for something specific.
You are likely very proud of your tanning salon so make sure that is reflected in your advertising. Tell them what you have as far as how many tanning areas and what types they are. Let them know you offer a full line of quality tanning products that they can offer. Also let them know that you offer eye protection and very clean tanning areas. People need to be able to get an appointment for the services they want that fits into their own schedule. Keep this in mind when you are setting up your hours of business. It is acceptable to extend them in the spring and summer and then go back to a standard day.
It is great if you can offer tanning services from early morning for those who wish to tan before work. If you can be open into the evening for those that work late and even on Saturday you are going to generate business. Make that information known so that they don’t have to call around to check. Chances are the customers are going to go where they don’t have to do too much additional work to set it all up.
This type of extending hours of service will also help to cut down too many people trying to get an appointment at the same time. If you offer early morning tanning sessions as well as evening ones, not everyone will have to try to get in on their lunch hour. Overall this is going to make the process go much smoother for you, the staff, and of course your valued customers.
This type of marketing needs to be more personal though. In fact, you should start it by telling them how much you appreciate them being a customer. Let them know you would really like it if they start coming in again to tan. As an added incentive you can offer them a discount for a limited period of time. Keep in mind they have other advertisements they are exposed to for tanning so give them a push to come your direction.
You may feel that you are advertising for your tanning salon so all is well. Yet you need to really stop to evaluate if the way in which you market it is effective or not. You definitely want to do all you can to retain previous customers. You also want to work to encourage first time customers to become regular faces you see around your tanning salon.
